On the same day, the Chonburi Air Conditioning Industrial Park in Thailand, led by Haier, officially commenced operations. Spanning approximately 324,000 square meters with an annual production capacity of 6 million units, this manufacturing base has become the largest air conditioning production facility for a Chinese brand in Southeast Asia. In the presence of distinguished guests from the political and business communities—including former Thai Prime Minister Chuan Leekpai, Minister of Industry Ekanat Pongpan, and Minister-Counselor Jiang Wei of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand—Haier presented the “Global Overseas Co-creation Award,” the highest recognition for industrial chain collaboration, to Sunwill Thailand.
This honor not only recognizes Sunwill’s years of dedication to establishing overseas factories and building robust localized operational capabilities but also serves as a vivid testament to its deep alignment with Haier’s “Global Industrial Cluster” strategy, helping Chinese enterprises achieve co-creation and mutual benefit through partnership.
The strategic core of Haier’s Chonburi base leverages the geographical advantages of Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor to build a global supply network that “manufactures locally for Southeast Asian demand and supplies nearby for European and American demand.” Sunwill Co., Ltd.’s years of experience in supply chain layout and operations in Thailand have provided strong support for the efficient implementation of this strategy.
